Leamington Courtyard - Planting Scheme

In this lovely west facing courtyard, the client had designed a hard landscaping scheme and worked with a local landscaper to install paving and a seating area. Planting had been kept simple with topiary balls, however box blight had become a major issue and it was time for an overhaul. The brief was for colour, scent and easy maintenance.

We introduced a number of plants that would thrive in the hot conditions and be relatively drought tolerant when established. The planting scheme is purposefully restrained in this small garden, with key plants repeated throughout the space to tie the scheme together. In this case, the client was new to gardening but keen to learn, so we worked together on the planting day and I provided a maintenance plan which should help keep it looking beautiful for years to come.
